Important Surcharges & Caveats
Operating in Central London comes with specific transport and infrastructure fees. To keep our base hourly rates as competitive as possible, the following charges are added to your final invoice only if they apply to your specific location and job:
In areas without free parking or client-provided visitor permits, metered parking or pay-and-display charges will be added to the invoice at cost.
For properties located within the Central London Congestion Charge zone, the standard £18 daily fee will be applied.
If our designated vehicle is subject to the £12.50 daily ULEZ charge to reach your property, this will be passed on at cost.
For routes requiring crossing the Thames via the Silvertown or Blackwall tunnels, TfL's commercial peak toll charges (up to £6.80 per crossing) will be billed at cost.
Properties outside the immediate M25 requiring the Dartford Toll will incur the standard commercial rate (£3.00 per crossing).
All materials supplied by us are charged separately and include an industry-standard sourcing and handling markup.
We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added — the prices listed are the prices you pay.
Pricing — Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an electrician cost in London?
Our standard call-out is £70 for the first 30 minutes, then £70 per hour (Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm). For larger multi-day projects, a daily rate of £300–£600 is usually more cost-effective. Emergency and out-of-hours work is £100 for the first 30 minutes, then £100 per hour.
Do you charge for quotes?
No — quotes are free and fixed wherever possible. For bigger jobs like rewires or consumer unit upgrades we survey the property first so the price you're given is the price you pay.
Why do some London jobs have extra charges?
Central London brings unavoidable transport costs — Congestion Charge, ULEZ, tolls and parking. Rather than inflating our hourly rate for everyone, we only pass these on at cost when they actually apply to your location and job.
Can I spread the cost of larger jobs?
Yes. Interest-free finance through Klarna and Clearpay is available on all work over £300 — including consumer unit upgrades, rewires and EV charger installations.
