Do I need a certified electrician to install lighting?

Any new circuit or change to a circuit in a bathroom, kitchen, or outdoors must be notified to Building Control and carried out by a certified electrician. As NAPIT members, we self-certify all notifiable work — meaning you don't need to contact the council. For simple like-for-like replacements in dry living areas, certification is not legally required but remains best practice.

How much does downlight installation cost?

Downlight installation cost depends on the number of lights, the ceiling construction, and whether the circuit already exists. We provide a fixed-price quote before starting — call or WhatsApp us with the number of lights and ceiling type and we'll give you an indication on the call.
